Charity PhotoSesh at the 2017 Uncorked & Uncapped: Wine, Beer, and Food Fest

(link to gallery at the bottom)

We had a blast with this special charity PhotoSesh as our team captured a ton of great smiles as these fine people enjoyed good food, great music and plenty of beer and wine flowing as the final ingredient to a great event.   Money raised was to benefit The Arc of Essex County's mission to help fund facilities and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities!  What a great organization!  Bravo to everyone involved!

About the Charity - The Arc

In September 1948, a group of innovative parents, community leaders, and dedicated volunteers gathered to create services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families at a time when there were none available.

Today, The Arc of Essex County is a private, non-profit agency serving people who live in and around Essex County. It is one of the most pre-eminent organizations of its kind in the tri-state region, providing resources to over 1,500 individuals and their families in over 44 distinct services and programs at 35 locations through both traditional and self-directed options. Services include: Residential, Adult Day, and Children, Family, and Community Services.

Much has changed for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities over the past 60 years. The Arc’s educational, vocational and social programs empower our consumers to achieve goals unimaginable just a decade ago. Children are now included in typical classroom settings in record numbers. Adults live in private residences with their peers and are gainfully employed and socially active. We are closer than ever to reaching our goal for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to actively participate at every level of our society.

Our dedicated staff of nearly 500 works with over 1,500 people each week. By combining compassion and competence, they help individuals from birth through their senior years to live fuller, more independent lives.
